Double-hung windows are perhaps the most common window style. They give off a very classic look and have operable upper and lower sashes. Lowering the top sash and raising the lower sash allows warm air to move out through the top while cooler air can flow in through the bottom. Cleaning these windows is also a snap. The sashes tilt inward so that you can clean from the inside of your home.

Single-hung windows are very similar to double-hung models but differ because only the lower sash is operable.

Sliding windows are another great choice and different because they have one or more panels that move horizontally along the upper and lower tracks. This is beneficial because it allows you the option of opening up half of the window to ventilate your space.

Accent windows allow you to really get a custom look in your space. They are available in a standard rectangular design or other shapes that allow you to really customize your space. One downside to these windows is that they don’t allow ventilation.

Projection windows actually extend out from the house. This is unique in that it gives the appearance of an outward arc.

Bay windows are similar but are pieced together at bigger angles which project them further out.

Picture windows are well liked because they give you wide, unobstructed views which provide a great deal of natural light.

Last but not least, Casement windows are hinged on one end but pivot out for excellent ventilation. They are also very easy to open.

Whatever window style will work best for you and your family, the most important thing you can do is choose an experienced and respected company. We here at Precision would love to come out show you what sets our company apart from all those other window companies out there!
